As a customer, you are responsible for providing accurate information, including Names, Billing and Shipping Addresses, Apt/Unit/Suite Information, Gate Codes, Phone Numbers, and E-Mail Address. It is crucial to input correct payment information during checkout and return credit card authorization forms for orders exceeding $1000. If a package is sent as a gift, it is your responsibility to notify the recipient of all Terms and Conditions.
The recipient is responsible for receiving the shipment on the delivery date, following shipping provider directions. Immediate retrieval and proper storage upon delivery are necessary, and any issues must be reported to Steam Pots of Maine within 4 hours, following instructions on the Packing Slip.
Steam Pots of Maine assumes responsibility for items/products until carrier pick-up at our facility. We guarantee shipment of items submitted for payment on your chosen delivery date, with tracking information provided. We notify customers promptly regarding Out of Stock products, offering refunds, store credit, or substitutions. We address issues of wrong items/quantities received and take responsibility for spoiled and damaged items not caused by shipping/carrier circumstances under our Live Lobster Guarantee.
We ship all products to the address provided by the customer. Customers are responsible for inputting correct shipping information. Refund requests due to undeliverable or incorrect addresses are not honored. Steam Pots of Maine is not responsible for delayed deliveries due to inaccurate shipping information.
Orders can be canceled before the shipment date or placed on hold, or the delivery date changed before the day of shipment. Order modifications or shipping corrections can be processed by contacting Customer Service directly, with additional fees applicable. Order cancellations are not available on the same day as shipment during the period 12/1/2023-01/01/2024.
If frozen and fresh products are shipped together, some thawing may occur. According to the FDA, frozen seafood under certain conditions can be safely stored if it remains cool to the touch.
Our shipping provider has permission to deliver packages to a safe location without a signature at the delivery address. If the delivery driver deems your area unsatisfactory, the package may not be left, and tracking information will be updated for the next suitable delivery day.
A tracking number is generated on the ship date and sent via email. Steam Pots of Maine cannot guarantee a specific delivery time and provides estimates based on the carrier’s information. Delayed deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances are covered by Shipping Protection.
Certain restrictions apply to orders shipping to Hawaii and Alaska. Customers should contact us for information on specific state restrictions. Additional restrictions apply to Tri-State Undersized Lobsters, Oversized Live Lobsters in Maine, and delivery to Puerto Rico, Post Office Boxes, Military Bases, or specific locations.
Additional fees may apply for rush delivery options, such as Saturday Delivery Fee or Holiday Surcharge Fee. Saturday Delivery is subject to availability.
If a package arrives with visible exterior damage, customers must submit a claim within 4 hours of delivery through the Refund Request Portal. Eligibility for replacement by store credit is determined after carrier inspection.
Orders with a product subtotal of $150 or above qualify for free shipping through FedEx Priority Overnight. Cart totals below $150 incur a flat rate shipping fee of $40.
Customers can file a claim for damaged or spoiled products on the day of delivery through the Refund Request Portal. Photos and detailed submissions are required for review.
Shipping Protection is included for free, covering delayed packages due to factors beyond our control. Unforeseeable delays are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Partial thawing of frozen products during transit is expected. The FDA provides guidelines for refreezing safe seafood.
Shipping to the address submitted by the customer is carried out by Steam Pots of Maine. Incorrect or undeliverable addresses void refund or reshipment. Address changes after packaging incur additional fees.
Customers are guaranteed shipment of items submitted for payment. Missing items must be reported within 4 hours of delivery.
Orders can be fully canceled and refunded before the designated shipping date.
Customers are notified of out-of-stock products, with substitution, refund, or store credit options offered.
Payments are collected when the order is scheduled. Refunds are available before the ship date. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.
